June Apex Discussion Series - Insurance Market Risk
Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM EDT (1:00 PM CDT)
Our June Apex Discussion Series will focus on the new Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) requirements being imposed on property/casualty insurance carriers in the state of New York are a harbinger of things to come. Financial examinations being conducted in the future will include an evaluation of company’s ERM and/or ORSA (Own Solvency Risk Assessment) models as regulators view ERM as a key part of any risk-focused examination process.
Insurers should address all reasonably, foreseeable and relevant material risks, including market risk. Underwriting cycles, pricing variations by line by state and entries/exits from the market have not been definitively studied nor documented. Pinnacle’s presentation will provide a framework for such an analysis of market risk concentrating on three particular segments:
- Illinois Private Passenger Auto
- Florida Homeowners
- California Workers Compensation
We would like to make this webinar interactive, so if you have questions you would like to submit before the webinar, please send them to: apexsupport@pinnacleactuaries.com. We will address them during the webinar.
You will also have the ability to submit questions in ‘real-time’ during the webinar.
