Robert J. Walling III, FCAS, MAAA, CERA is a Principal and Consulting Actuary with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. in the Bloomington, Illinois office. He has been in the insurance industry since 1989, consulting since 1997. His practice is concentrated actuarial studies for captives and self-insureds, enterprise risk management (ERM), commercial lines ratemaking and loss reserving, legislative costing, regulatory consulting and litigation support. He currently serves as a member of the CAS Board of Directors and has been named one of Captive Review’s Captive Power 50.
Derek W. Freihaut, FCAS, MAAA, is a Principal and Consulting Actuary with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. in the Bloomington, Illinois office. He has over ten years of actuarial experience in the property/casualty insurance industry. Mr. Freihaut has considerable experience in assignments involving loss reserving, funding studies, loss cost projections, captive feasibility studies, risk transfer analyses, and personal and commercial lines ratemaking.
