Consulting Actuary Christina Negley and Associate Actuary Joey Sveda will discuss techniques they use to improve space utilization
and performance efficiency in programming environments like SAS and R.

Christina L. Negley, FCAS, MAAA is a consulting actuary with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources in the Bloomington, Illinois, office. She holds a master’s degree in mathematics from Illinois State University and bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. She began work in the property/casualty insurance industry in 2014. Christina has experience in assignments involving loss reserving, funding studies, loss cost projections, and captive feasibility studies. She has provided support for loss reserve analyses for commercial insurers and self-insured groups (including governmental entities) in general liability, workers’ compensation, auto liability, auto physical damage and medical professional liability coverage. She has also participated in research and analyses involving medical professional liability programs and predictive modeling for personal lines insurance.
Joseph A. Sveda, ACAS, MAAA, is an associate actuary with Pinnacle Actuarial Resources in the Bloomington, Illinois, office. He holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science and risk management and insurance from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He has been in the property/casualty insurance industry since 2018. Joey has experience in assignments involving predictive analytics, commercial and personal lines pricing plans, actuarial studies for captives involving loss reserving and commercial lines ratemaking.
