Pinnacle Holds Pinnacle University 2026

2 minutes

Distinctive, professional development program enters its 13th year of exploring emerging issues in the insurance industry and actuarial profession.

Bloomington, Ill. – Pinnacle Actuarial Resources, Inc. (Pinnacle) is pleased to present Pinnacle University 2026 (Pinnacle U), a continuing education collaboration with several collegiate institutions. The invite-only event will be held virtually, and at Pinnacle’s home office in Bloomington on Wednesday, March 25, and Thursday, March 26.

Pinnacle U is a unique developmental opportunity designed for students training to become actuarial professionals. For Pinnacle U, actuarial students partner with Pinnacle analysts to research important topics within the property/casualty insurance industry. At Pinnacle U, each team presents their findings to a panel of credentialed actuaries who evaluate and discuss the team’s conclusions, presentation performance and project execution.

The program is an unparalleled opportunity to learn about current and emerging issues in the insurance industry. Pinnacle U provides real-world exposure to project management, teamwork and preparation and delivery of business presentations.

“For 13 years, Pinnacle U has helped actuarial students learn about life as a working actuary,” Managing Principal Roosevelt Mosley said. “The program reflects our commitment to the insurance industry and creating the next generation of actuarial leaders. It is a privilege to provide this avenue to students pursuing an actuarial career.”

Real estate, non-profit challenges, climate change and parametric insurance models are a few of the topics of this year’s Pinnacle U presentations.

“Providing perspective into what it is like to be an actuarial practitioner has been one of the most unique and valuable aspects of Pinnacle U,” Pinnacle Senior Consulting Actuary Erich Brandt said. “Past participants have gone on to accomplish impressive things in their actuarial careers and Pinnacle U has provided those individuals with valuable hands-on experience. We look forward to the presentations of the class of 2026.”

Pinnacle U is a private event, but all teams have an opportunity to publish their findings as blogs that will be released publicly in the coming months. Last year, a Pinnacle U presentation “Beyond the Policy: Exploring the Landscape of Trust in Insurance,” became a cover article for an edition of the Casualty Actuarial Society’s Actuarial Review magazine.
